Nvidia ships one open model for transcripts, speakers and translation

Nvidia has released Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe, an open-weight speech model you can steer with plain-language prompts. One checkpoint (30B parameters, about 4B active) handles transcription, speaker attribution, translation and audio Q&A. It transcribes 40 languages, translates 31 of them to or from English, and labels up to eight speakers in recordings of up to an hour. Nvidia says it ranks first among open-weight models on the Hugging Face Open ASR Leaderboard for English. It also released Granary v2, an open multilingual dataset and curation pipeline with NeMo fine-tuning recipes. In a medical case study, fine-tuning cut word error rate by 45.8%. Teams paying per minute for cloud transcription now have a strong self-hosted option. Hugging Face: Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe and Granary v2 · Model card
